Cracking the Energy Code: Compliance with 2010 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (ECCNYS-2010)
HOLT Architects is helping to co-sponsor the upcoming course “Cracking the Energy Code” developed by the Urban Green Council with the AIA and NYSERDA.
The one-day seminar will be held in Ithaca, NY on two dates – October 10, 2012 and November 14, 2012 – both at TC3’s Lieberman Extension Center at 118 North Tioga Street. The 4-hour course is $85, and offers 4 AIA HSW/SD and GBCI credits.
Urban Green Council and the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects have developed this four-hour course to familiarize building professionals with the 2010 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (ECCCNYS-2010). Cracking the Energy Code teaches the fundamentals of low energy design and the processes available to demonstrate compliance, focusing on commercial buildings and residential buildings over three stories. Intended primarily for architects, engineers, and code consultants, the course offers GBCI and AIA continuing education credits, which can also be used by NY State Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Peter Arsenault will teach both the October 10 and November 14 courses.
