From Andrew Gil’s environmental science studies at Harvard College, to leading HOLT’s sustainability initiative, he has always been a champion of sustainable design and construction practices. After many years of USGBC Chapter membership, Gil was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2011 to fill a vacancy, and elected to a full 2-year term starting in 2012. He was elected by the Board of Directors to serve as Board Secretary for 2012 and most recently elected by the current Board to serve as Board Chair for 2013. Gil’s role as Board Chair will be to help direct the efforts of the Board to fulfill the Chapter’s mission of shaping the future of green buildings through education, advocacy and celebration.
