Sarah Galbreath a graduate of Ithaca High School, received her Bachelors of Arts from Smith College and Masters of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah has been a member of the HOLT team for 9 years where she has focused on healthcare projects. She is currently working on local design projects with Cayuga Medical Center and the Southern Tier Hospicare, and is a board member at the Beechtree Care Center.
In order to become a registered architect Sarah had to pass seven exams, have a professional degree from an NAAB-accredited program, and complete the Intern Development Program (IDP). The IDP is approximately 3 years of on the job experience consisting of training units in 16 different categories, such as programming, site and environmental analysis, construction documents, specifications and materials research, and project management. The Architect Registration Exam evaluates candidate’s knowledge, skills, and ability to provide the various services required in the practice of architecture.
