University of Rochester Medical CenterHighland Hospital MPG_8866Congratulations Matthew!!

We are excited to announce that Matthew Gavette, a designer in HOLT’s Healthcare Studio earned his Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) from The Center for Health Design.

The internationally recognized EDAC program awards credentials to individuals demonstrating the ability to apply an evidence-based process to healthcare facility design, including measuring and reporting results. In order to receive an EDAC Certification Matthew Gavette had to pass a five section exam that tests on evidence-based design in healthcare, the research process, the pre-design process, construction, and occupancy. The Center for Health Design uses EDAC Certifications in order to improve health outcomes, patient experience of care, and provider/staff satisfaction and performance.

Matthew has been a designer at HOLT for three years and is currently working on local design projects with Highland Hospital and University of Rochester Medical Center.

HOLT Architects, established in 1963, is an award-winning architecture, planning and interior design firm, employing 32 professionals in Ithaca and Syracuse, and providing socially and environmentally responsible architecture to community, business, healthcare and higher education clientele.
