HOLT Architects’ Nathan Brown was Recognized with a 40 Under FORTY Award for Business and Community Achievements by the Central New York Business Journal and BizEventz.
Nathan Brown, AIA of HOLT Architects is a proud recipient of the 2017 40 Under Forty award presented at the 20th Annual event on November 16 at The SRC Arena in Syracuse, NY. This annual award recognizes 40 ambitious, civic-minded rising leaders, under the age of 40, who are making a difference in the workplace and communities of Central New York.
Nathan is an Associate, Architect, and Project Manager with HOLT Architects. As the lead architect in HOLT’s Syracuse office and as an alumnus of Leadership Greater Syracuse and the Syracuse School of Architecture, Nathan is deeply immersed in the Central New York community. He serves as a member of the Town of DeWitt Planning Board where he has been working with others to develop new zoning laws to strengthen development standards, help structure responsible growth, and promote pedestrian-oriented mixed-use development. And, his community service work includes supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association through fundraising drives/events.
At HOLT Architects, Nathan has managed over $100 million in design and construction and contributed to the success of over 50 higher education, healthcare and multi-family housing projects. In addition to design, Nathan also takes part in the growth and development of others and has mentored and inspired colleagues to find creative and innovative solutions to problems. In 2016 Nathan was named an Associate of the firm and joined HOLT’s management team – a designation rooted in his exceptional leadership, high professional standards and innovative design approaches.
Nathan exhibits boundless leadership capabilities and brings positive energy, creativity, and strategic thinking to every project and pursuit he takes on and is committed to continued growth and professionalism in business and community service. He resides in DeWitt, NY with his wife Nina—who he claims to be the most inspirational and influential person in his life—and their two children and dog.
